NewCold Coöperatief UA and its affiliates (collectively: "NewCold" or "we") have drafted this privacy statement to demonstrate our commitment to individuals' data protection and privacy rights.

This privacy statement applies to the processing of personal data as part of our global business activities. This includes the processing of personal data through our website www.newcold.com. In this privacy statement you will find information about the categories of personal data we collect, why we collect it, what we do with it, how we protect it, and your rights.

NewCold is the so-called "data controller" under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This privacy statement describes in general terms how we seek to comply with data protection laws and regulations, including the European GDPR, national laws implementing the GDPR, as well as security and data protection laws in the United States and applicable laws in other jurisdictions, such as Australia.

Collection and processing of your personal data

We process personal data of (contacts at) our customers, suppliers and other stakeholders, students and applicants, and visitors to our websites. We obtain personal data (i) from you, (ii) from third parties (such as customers, suppliers, and chain partners), or (iii) from public sources, such as the Chamber of Commerce's Business Register.

The personal data we may process are:

  • Basic information such as your first and last name, title, gender;
  • contact information such as your e-mail address, mailing address, phone number, the company you work for, and your location;
  • Financial information, such as IBAN/bank account number;
  • IP address and statistical data about your use of our websites;
  • personal data you provide to us during an application, such as application letter, CV, date of birth, education and career information;
  • other personal data that we obtain from you and use for the purposes described below.


    We do not always process all of the above data; this depends on the nature of the relationship, the specific service, and (if applicable) the consent you have given us.

Purposes of personal data processing

We process your personal information for one or more of the following purposes (depending on our relationship with you):

Marketing and Acquisition
We use your personal information to send you newsletters, invitations to events, and other marketing communications that may be relevant to you, as well as as as part of a (registration to) our marketing activities. After an event, we may also contact you for feedback.

Execution of a contract
We process your personal data when necessary as part of the products or services we provide, including sharing data for quotes, execution and completion (including billing) of an order, service request or assignment.

Compliance with legal obligations
We process your personal data to comply with legal obligations, such as collecting and storing data and providing information to tax and supervisory authorities.

Applications and Recruitment
The data you share with us during an application (via e-mail/post, via the application form on our website or via social media) or that we receive through recruiters are processed to contact you as part of our selection procedures. We also process your data in case of (registration for) an internship at one of our locations.

Access Control and Security
For security purposes (such as in case of emergency evacuation), we keep visitor logs at our sites. These logs are destroyed at the end of the day. We also use video surveillance to protect the property and safety of our employees and visitors. Use and improvement of our website
We process statistical data about your visit and use of our website to analyze and improve the content, structure, and usability of our website.

Other Processing
We may also process your data for customer satisfaction surveys or to handle questions or complaints.

Legal basis for data processing

We process your personal data on the basis of one or more of the following legal bases:

  • The performance of a contract with you or to take pre-contractual measures;

A request may be partially or completely denied due to these limitations, such as legal obligations, third party rights, and NewCold's legitimate interests. If we cannot comply with a request, we will notify you by providing an explanation.

Where the processing of your personal data is based on consent, you have the right to revoke consent at any time. However, revocation of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent prior to revocation.
